Icky Twerp, The Electronic Babysitter
(DVD)

This documentary, created by Richard Allen Kent, was released in
2009 to critical acclaim. Using his personal archive along with
interviews with Bill's son Paul, co-workers of his at KTVT and
personal friends, he tells the story of his early life in Mineral
Wells and Ft. Worth, his TV and writing career, along with the
personal tragedies and triumphs that shaped him. Using footage from
home movies, his personal writings and materials from his career,
the Electronic Babysitter sheds light on the life of a
remarkable man. (45 min.) |

This VHS tape runs
almost 2 hours and has lots of early SBT skits, the last show from the original
run of Nightmare in 1964, and about a dozen "Texas Consumer Finance"
commercials Dad did in 1960.

We came up with
this tape after recently looking at footage from the masters and seeing stuff
that I had missed before, plus I wanted to add material from the late era of the
show, including the last SBT episode. On this 2-tape set we also included some
early SBT openings,
more early Nightmare scenes, plus material from the 1974 Halloween show. Also
put in a few skits from the " Twerp Summer Reunion" show I did with
Dad in 1985, plus a nice TV news obit done by when he passed in 1991. Hardly any duplication to Volume
One.
